What's it all about?

This innovative scheme is to help Creative Producers attract money and volunteers to get their projects off the ground in Camden.

Step 1

Creative Producers are invited to upload details of their forthcoming shows on the site, in order to attract supporters.

This can be in the form of a one minute filmed pitch or text.

Producers should include the name of the show, the anticipated date of production, as well as a target budget.

There is an opportunity to recruit volunteers to your project.

Producers should offer some incentive to potential supporters.

Step 2

Potential Supporters view the range of Creative Producers projects on offer.

Supporters are invited to donate units to each show. The minimum unit is £25 and is paid through Paypal.

Supporters can also offer their voluntary services to Producers.

Step 3

Once the budget target has been reached, then the resources will be given to the Producer.

If the target isn’t reached within the time limit, then supporters are asked to confirm their support to go ahead with the donation, change to another project or withdraw their gift.

Producers contact Volunteers directly with their offers of support, and ensure that the Supporters who donated get their incentives.

Producers are asked to update Supporters on their progress and report on the outcomes of the show.

10 Top Tips for Producers to Engage with Potential Supporters

1. Build up excitement before you announce your show. Write a countdown diary with clues.

2. Launch show with as many visuals as you can. Use images associated with your ideas to give a feeling of the show if you haven’t any available.

3. Introduce the personalities of your Creative teams. Film them at work? We need to see and hear the producers and the teams ideas often.

4. Keep your audience informed of your progress, even when there is none. Use the blog facility provided.

5. Get your audience involved in serious production decisions. Votes on set designs, posters etc?

6. Ask them for Creative feedback. Use the Twitter facility for a quick response.

7. Celebrate their responses positively to reinforce their feelings about your show. Quote them in your postings.

8. Give them deadlines to commit to you. There are limited opportunities available to be associated with your project.

9. Always thank them for helping you, however small. Publish their photos? Use their ideas.

10. Big up your incentives continually, remind them of your vision to develop your show.
